Yasu Nakajima

I graduated from Tokyo Visual Arts College. I have five years experience as an assistant for sports photography, and am now working in Toronto, focusing mainly on wedding photography.

In my photography, I attempt to allow the natural setting to transcend the photograph. So as not to alter the feeling of the setting, I seldom use a flash, instead using natural light whenever possible to fully express the beauty of the scene.
The value of photography is that one is able to capture pure images of beauty and those wonderful moments that succinctly express one's true self. When I have a subject pose, I am always trying to photograph them in a way that will allow their true self to shine through.

When taking photographs, my motto is to capture only the natural smiles and surroundings of my subjects.
